Our top priority is always health and temperament. We do all we can for our dogs to have excellent health for a long life to be loved by their families. Our dogs all live with our family and are temperament tested. Our dogs live in our home with us and are around children and even cats daily! We believe strongly that all our animals shall be treated with love and kindness and their needs always met, physically and emotionally. Both Golden Retrievers and Standard Poodles are very much people oriented dogs and NEED daily interaction with their loved ones! We take great care to ensure that our dogs have a temperament that is suited for family life.
Who Are We
We are a family-hobby breeder. We are also a mother daughter team. Ruth (mom) started breeding standard poodles 25 years ago. We had a family farm and raised our own meat and grew our own food. Our poodles are our ranch dogs! And they are excellent at their job. Ruth currently has Cindy, Cassie, and Whinny. All poodles. They have recently downsized in 2023 and sold the farm! But still have 25 grand kids that come to visit often. The poodles are Grandma Ruths gardening buddies and make everyone laugh daily.
As for me, Amy (daughter), was born with a love for animals. I got my first pony at 10 years old and it was all over at that point. I was hooked! Always there when a baby, goat, sheep, rabbit, dog, what ever it may be, I was there 12 noon or 12 midnight when they were born. As an adult after college, marriage and kids, I got my first Golden Retriever. He was the most amazing dog. He will go down in history with family and friends as such. I will always have a golden in my life! I now have Ruger, Miss Molly And little Sally. All buddies, all live and play together. We do not have kenneled dogs. They live on the farm. My family has property in Utah and California. However, our home is forever and always on the Central Coast of CA! If we are in Utah when a litter is born, I personally transport pups to our California home in what we call our Puppy RV when they are 8 weeks old (aka my suburban, seats down, litter box, toys, food and water! Pups never leave the "puppy RV" and do great in travel when they have everything they need! I only transport my own dogs.
Thus, nearly 10 years ago mother and daughter joined efforts and began breeding beautiful healthy Goldendoodles. For Ruth she loved their shaggy coats and sweet temperament. For me it was the same, but the lack of hair in my home was LIFE CHANGING! We were both incredibly happy.

Considering a new family member...there is LOTS to consider. Adding a puppy to your family is a big decision and if done with great consideration can be the best choice! Things to consider when bringing home a puppy.
TIME
A puppy requires tons of time. Not forever, but for the first year plus you will spend many hours everyday with your puppy bonding and training. This effort will be paid off with many, many years of your best friend being loving and respectful part of your family. In our adoption contract it states that if for any reason whatsoever you are unable to keep your dog we will take your dog back. No guilt trips, no blame, we will just ensure the dog has a full, happy life. When considering a new family member remember a puppy is a LIFE! Dogs are loving, intelligent and personable. Although they may not feel emotions in the same exact way as humans, we do know that they feel...they are loyal, kind, funny, and protective. "A dog is a mans best friend" is absolutely true!
Vet Appointments/Bills
This first year of a puppies life is usually the most expensive. They grow so quickly and getting the proper vet care in the first year is important. Our puppies are sold as pets, companions, service and therapy dogs only. All puppies require a spay/neuter contract. Proof of spay/neuter will be required.
Grooming $$$
Goldendoodles also require professional grooming. This is an expense that should be planned on and factored into your budget. Some Doodle shed a bit, some do not. Your Doodle will also need to be brushed thoroughly often to avoid matting that is painful for your dog. You can expect to have a $60.00-$100.00 grooming bill every 6-8 weeks and you will need to brush your dog often between professional grooming.
Family Health
If allergies are a concern in your family be sure to talk to us about that. If you have severe allergies a purebred poodle may be a better fit for your family. We would be happy to refer you to reputable breeders if that is the case. We would not want a puppy to need to be rehomed because of a known family health issue.
Training
We are here for your questions, referrals to trainers and anything we can do to help you have a successful training experience. Consistency, from the whole family, is key for training. We encourage crate training starting right away. This is a safe place for your puppy. Even if your dream is to have a dog sleep on their big fluffy bed in the family room or by your bed, your dog should be crate trained. Our dogs do not sleep in crates every single night but all can go in a crate and be comfortable should there be an emergency, health issue, or even travel. This is because we spent the time to train/teach them it is a safe place. Training your dog in obedience is the best thing you can do for you and your dog. A respectful, loving dog is a treasure. Leash training is important too. We live on a farm so our dogs get tons of off leash play time. They always stay close, but on our property there is no need for a leash. However, we go for walks on leash often so they maintain their leash training. All of our dogs can ride respectfully in the car and go in public with ease, behave at the vet or groomers, all because we do our part to train them....and they are wonderful to start out with!
